Perfecting The Craft
Being a multi-sport athlete can be difficult at times, but Maurice Westmoreland II makes the most out of it.
Westmoreland, a senior at Klein Forest High School, has been preparing at Texas Footwork with Paul Boyette Jr. for his last football and track season. “Paul’s workouts are really intense,” Westmoreland said. “He pushes us and makes sure we leave him tired because he wants us to keep getting better.”
Even though the workouts with Paul can be described as intense, Paul is also encouraging. “My favorite part of working out here is when everyone supports each other,” Westmoreland said. Westmoreland is going to take what he has learned with his workouts and the support and use it at school.
A goal of his is to throw and play football at the collegiate level. With that being said, Westmoreland wants to become a personal trainer and is thinking about majoring in Kinesiology. So, that is an important factor when picking a school for him as well as a good coaching staff.
While Westmoreland is preparing for his last season, he also has goals of taking his football team to the playoffs and winning state for the track. With the help of Paul and Texas Footwork, he knows he will be able to achieve his goals. ”
